Behind the scenes

Paste what you already wrote

Most hosts already have a guide — a document, a PDF, the long message they send every booking. Paste it in and it comes out as sections you can edit.

Without it

  • Starting again from a blank page, when the words already exist.
  • Copying twelve paragraphs into twelve boxes by hand.
  • Never getting round to it, and sending the same long message forever.

How it works

Paste your text into the box. The app reads it and proposes a set of sections. You look at what it found, adjust anything that is wrong, and import.

Nothing is created until you press the button. This is a suggestion you approve, not an action you undo afterwards.

How it decides where sections are

It looks for headings, and it is deliberately careful about what counts as one.

A heading is a short line that either ends in a colon, or names something it recognises. “Door code” is a heading. “WiFi:” is a heading. “The code is 4471# on the keypad” is not — it is a sentence that happens to mention one.

That caution is on purpose. A parser that treats every short line as a heading turns ordinary prose into confetti, and you spend longer fixing it than you would have spent copying by hand.

It reads English and Romanian

Section names are recognised in both languages, and accents are ignored when matching, so rețea, retea and Network all point at the same thing.

That matters here more than it might elsewhere, because Romanian hosts routinely write one guide with both languages mixed through it. A document with “Cod acces” in one place and “WiFi password” in another is read correctly.

Confirming the important bits

When a block looks like a door code or a WiFi network, the values it pulled out are shown to you specifically, so you can confirm them.

This is the one place where being wrong would be expensive. A misread password means a guest at the door who cannot get online; a misread code means one who cannot get in at all. So those two are never taken on trust — you see exactly what was extracted and can correct it before it is saved.

Reviewing before anything happens

For each block you can:

  • Change what it is. If your appliance instructions came through as plain text and you would rather they were questions and answers, change the type.
  • Skip it. The paragraph about your cancellation policy does not belong in a guest guide. Leave it out.
  • Leave it as it is, which is most of them.

You can import up to thirty sections at once, which is far more than any sensible guide needs.

Your plan still applies

The import respects your plan rather than quietly exceeding it.

On the free plan you get five sections and nine of the thirteen types. If your pasted guide contains more than that, or contains a type that is part of Pro, the extra blocks are held back and you are told how many. Nothing is half-created and nothing is silently dropped.

After importing

Treat the result as a first draft, because that is what it is.

The sections exist with your words in them, in roughly the right shape. The work that remains is the work worth doing: shortening the paragraphs, adding a photo to the check-in steps, putting the door code on a timer, deleting the part that has not been true since you changed the boiler.

That is a much better evening than retyping your own guide into boxes.

What this costs

Importing is on the free plan, inside the free plan’s limits. More sections and the other four section types come with Pro.

FAQ

Can I paste a PDF?

Open the PDF, select the text and copy it. It is the text that is read, not the file, so anything you can select and copy will work — including an email or a message thread.

What if it splits things in the wrong place?

You see everything before it is created. Change a block's type, skip the ones you do not want, and import the rest. Nothing is added until you say so.

Does it work with a guide written in Romanian?

Yes. It recognises headings in English and Romanian, and it ignores accents when matching, so a guide with mixed spelling still works.

One guide. A private link for every booking.

It expires when guests leave. Writing the first one takes an evening, the first property is free, and there is no card to enter.
